NP Swearing In
written on Saturday, March 31, 2007 @ 12:37 PM ✈
OMG, I'm an official cadet today. Must remember to mark this special day Everything was so rushed. Jiajia didn't realise that it was 2.15pm and I kept waiting for her to pack her bag. Haha. I think she got a shock when she saw me all ready and waiting for her. Hee. I was so excited and nervous. I mean, ma'ams said Nanyang always did well. I felt that when we did our NYNP cheer, we weren't as loud as all other ma'ams. We started cheering and singing on the bus. I was hoping the practice we did during lunch and recess would help us do well as a squad. By the way, I never knew that we had the smallest squad. You see, Batch 38 ma'ams have only 12 members whereas we have 20. So comparing like that, I thought Batch 41 was huge. Who knew that Hwa Chong has like nearly 50 members? The NCOs from SJI split all NP people to different groups, I was with Peiyin. Puay Ling was the only one who got assigned to a group all by herself, without a companion. We didn't get to do much drills actually, just falling in. There was the ice-breakers - Wacko. It was kind of boring as the boys just "played" and "called" each others' names most of the time. We also got to cut a piece of paper so everyone from our group could fit in. However, the other group's paper broke, so we won automatically. Psst, sorry if you feel bored :( We also played Dog & Bone. The highest "point" of the day was there, guess what happened? Peiyin was trying to tap one of the boys to stop him from getting the bone, when he kept moving back with the "bone" with his front facing the centre. Then she tapped...(I think somewhere near the chest) I don't know why, Clarissa, Joyce and I just burst out laughing. Hiaz, but my reaction was "slow". I was slow for half a second - eww, sounds weird. In Chinese, it's 慢半拍. Time really passed quickly...we grabbed our refreshments and sat down. The ma'ams took a picture with us Oh and at one point of time, I felt stupid. Our Batch 38 ma'ams had to tell us the April Fool's Day - April 1 was our squad's birthday. You see, April = 4, 1 = 1. So 4 and 1 put together makes = Batch 41! If it was like that, then we missed Batch 38, 39 and 40 ma'am's birthday.... So sad. A new Batch 41 forum is coming up, just have to let other squadmates know about it.....I can't wait~ 0 comment[s] | back to top |
